Many await a sitting president to get up to the podium and announce via network TV special news broadcast that Planet Earth is being studied by advanced civilizations from other worlds, most of whom come in peace and have shared with representatives of our planet technologies that can today help us out of our numerous fossil fuel dilemmas. 50 years have come and gone.
